I broke four hours in the marathon!  This was a huge mental barrier for me, and will hopefully lead to additional sub-four hour times in the near future.  It was great to have my family, and friends from the gym, cheering me on to this accomplishment.  I am especially grateful for my wonderful friends volunteering on the bikes this year who rode beside me in the last miles to bring me in.

I am looking forward to a few easier days before beginning my training for a biking trip to Colorado and my first triathlon this summer.

Great work and welcome to the blog. It is a great feeling to just finish the marathon, but I know the feeling of breaking the 4 hr barrier. It took me twice, but it sure felt good. Keep it up.

Thanks for the welcome and encouragement; both are much appreciated!

Congrats on sub 4. That's a monumental accomplishment.

Thank you! A huge barrier broken, and hopefully another time that can be broken at the next marathon.
